We have been using audio CDs alongside our comprehensive course manuals for many years now and we have found that this is a really good way to help students to get to grips with learning about Reiki. They can read text, look at images and they can listen to commentary tracks that give them the basics of Reiki, rather like listening to a Reiki teacher, but a teacher that you can listen to whenever are wherever you like, and a teacher that you can rewind and listen to again and again if you need to!
We use two sorts of CDs: commentary CDs that talk you through important aspects of Reiki, and guided meditations that help students to get into the habit of working on themselves regularly. The CDs were recorded by Taggart King, who does seem to have quite a relaxing voice, pleasant to listen to, or certainly that is the feedback that we have received from our students, anyway!

You might be wondering what the word "Hypno" is doing on a Reiki website. Well, Taggart King, in addition to being a Reiki Master Teacher, is also a Cognitive Hypnotherapist and NLP Master Practitioner, and he has used his knowledge of hypnotic suggestion patterns to craft a series of meditations that are designed to help Reiki people to develop themselves further, by dealing with some of the challenges and opportunities that Reiki brings.
These meditations have been working incredibly well, and in fact they surpassed our expectations. It seems that when gentle hypnotic suggestions are combined with Reiki meditations, a very powerful combination is created, helping the listener to move powerfully in a new better direction.
